I am located in Kentucky, United States of America.
Here's what I have played for weddings (played at a church building):
- Play as guests arrive for about 15-20 minutes - this also gives me a chance to warm the bagpipes up. Typical tunes are Marches and Hornpipes.
Note- I do not usually play inside church apart from if you want something like Amazing Grace played. I do not play The Bridal March, which does not suit the bagpipes because it is written for Orchestra and Pipe Organs. - Play married couple out of church building (outside) as you appear at the door.
Typical tunes are:
Mhairi's Wedding,
Highland Laddie,
Highland Cathedral,
or Fiona's Wedding. - Play married couple into reception (normally to their seats at the top table if appropriate). Typical tunes are Rab's Wedding or The Highland Wedding March.
Note- Tunes, etc can be adjusted to suit your needs or wants.
The cost all depends how long you want me to play, and at how long I am at the venue. Traveling expenses are extra especially if air travel and hotel stay are required. When I can drive to and from the wedding in one day the fuel cost is $0.50 per mile traveled.

I can play inside the church or funeral home as the cask is brought in.
I can play at the graveside as deceased is lowered or play for the scattering of ashes.
Typical tunes include Amazing Grace,
Flowers of the Forest
or Mist Covered Mountains.
The cost all depends how long you want me to play, and at how long I am at the ceremony. Traveling expenses are extra especially if air travel and hotel stay are required. When I can drive to and from the ceremony in one day the fuel cost is $0.50 per mile traveled.
